Antrobus with only 2 points? Did he not take very many shots or was the defense just that good?

 

According to your post in the Bracken/Montgomery thread Montgomery doesn't have anyone that can apply defensive pressure.. so I'm surprised Antrobus didn't "thrive" on the opportunity.

Considering the MoCO faithful agreed with my comment on that thread, maybe they worked on their defense in practice the past few days and made changes to make it better?

He's a really good player, would've loved to see him stay at PC. I'm really close friends with his cousin and his entire family was stunned and heartbroken by his decision to go to Rowan.

Last year Montgomery Co really struggled in Man-to-Man defense against players who could create. I really think Parsley has to become the Indians defensive stopper if they are going to become the region contenders that many think they will be.

 

While the Indians need to be much better on defense than they were last year, I don't think it is fair to say that they didn't provide a test for Crawford (or Antrobus). They won't be the toughest test either faces all year, but they were certainly a good early season challenge.

Walker was 8-10 from 3 - Wow!

Fuller dished out 10 assists - He's well on his way to becoming Montgomery Co's All-Time assists leader (currently 6th) and likely will set the single season school record as well.

Canada led the Indians with 7 rebounds - I think he's going to be a really solid player, and could be really important for the Indians to make a deep run this year.

Lets be honest.

 

1. This was rowans first game of the year.

2. This was Antrobis first game with his new team.

3. It took a career night from Walker to win the game by 2

 

Both teams can take a lot from this game. Each should get much better as the season moves along.

I just noticed that Montgomery County was 9-20 from the ft line. Unacceptable. What it doesn't say is how many was the front end of the 1+? On the season they are 13-30.

Will be an interesting week for the Indians, with Scott Co. and the Hounds of their schedule in the next week.
