I'm always interested in how much the championship teams throw the football. This year 7 of the teams can really throw the ball and balance their offense. That is up from last season and previous years. The number is passing yards listed on khsaa i'm assuming through 14 games.

Some really, really impressive numbers. You better be able to pull the trigger efficiently.

By comparison, I did the rushing yards for all twelve. All twelve have rushed for over 2K yards, and half of those have rushed for over 3K, with Belfry going over the 4K mark. I'm not sure how these numbers compare to years past, but thought I'd throw out the other side.

Belfry- 4,268

Pikeville- 3,930

Lafayette- 3,844

S. Warren- 3,500

J. Central- 3,462

Beechwood- 3,110

NewCath- 2,597

Mayfield- 2,477

Pulaski- 2,304

Male- 2,274

LexCath- 2,093

Bowling Green- 2,006

Looks like out of all the teams left in all classes we are the most balanced team with only 185 yds difference :)
