December 2, 201510 yr Are we supposed to be surprised that a guy that grew up watching Jordan patterned his game after him?
December 2, 201510 yr It's no surprise Kobe and MJ had similar moves. Kobe has said multiple times he modeled his game after MJ. He's the best player of all time so not sure why people have an issues with this.
December 3, 201510 yr I was referring to his contract. I agree with the topic of the thread though, it says a lot that even the knock-off MJ was good for five titles.
December 3, 201510 yr Are we supposed to be surprised that a guy that grew up watching Jordan patterned his game after him? To be fair...A LOT of players "Tried" to pattern their game after MJ, Kobe actually was able to do it. No one else has been close to MJ.
December 3, 201510 yr MJ fans say this all of the time. Kobe studied MJ obsessively from day one and patterned everything in his game after MJ. Why? Because that was the best he had ever seen. His plan and goals were to be like MJ but do it better. Kobe wanted 8 titles. He lost in the finals twice. Had he won those two times in the finals he'd have 7 rings and more points than MJ. Cheap imitation? That's harsh. A cheap imitation is Harold Miner. Not Kobe. He tried to be like the GOAT and did a fine job trying to achieve the same greatness.
