That's on the coaches, he averaged 8.1 yards a carry yet only carried the ball 69 times this year. Had 3 of the 4 longest runs from scrimmage. But carry wise was less than half of other RB's carries in the area.

 

The question to ask the coaches is, "Why is he getting less carries this year?" Watched a few games and this was definitely an overall underachieving team. I saw Colin play as a freshman and thought this is the next Shaun Alexander, so maybe I am more disappointed than the Ryle fans.

I don't want to derail the thread any further I'm sure we all were somewhat disapointed. Collin even changed positions when asked and was used as a decoy to draw safety help to open the field for the outside guys and did it without complaining even though it killed his numbers. He was always about the team and that's what should be remembered. He just wanted the team to win.

That is what I was just getting ready to say. I just watched his Hudl highlights from last year, which were incredible, so he has to be a team player to only carry the ball 69 times this season. I never the met the young man, so he must be an excellent kid and teammate, so my concern for Ryle is coaching.

Leaving out a lot of guys before Warner got there. Eddie Smith, Travis Grant, Justin Parr, Mark Gray, Steve Mace, Adam Oglesbee, Wayne Price, Tom Ross, Anthony Coleman, Reed Young, Josh Reichert, Vince Bowman.

I also think a few teams would be remembered differently if the playoffs were structured the way they are now. Ryle ran into the Trinity buzzsaw in the first round a handful of times, whereas more recently that matchup couldn't happen until the championship or semis (I forget).

I'd like to add C/OL Brian Millard. Dear friend of mine who died tragically shortly after graduating from Ryle. One of the first leaders on Ryle's first teams. Great lineman and even better friend...

Need to add Josh Morgan to the Interceptions category. Part of the State Runner-up team and finished his tenure at Ryle with 12 total and was the career leader at the time. Senvisky may have finished with a couple more but those two would probably be the best DB's the school has had.

Please continue to add players. Goal of this was to get some of the History added maybe add it to Ryles nice new football site.
