SportsGuy41017
When Officer Nicholas Mitchell pulled over a speeding woman in Rockwood, MI, he had no idea he was about to be her hero. The minute he stopped Rhonda McArthur for passing a red light, he noticed there was something physically wrong with her son Nick. “He didn’t ask me for my driver’s license or registration first,” the mom told Detroit’s WXYZ “He looked right at my son and said, ‘Is he OK?’” Cop Stops A Woman For Running A Red Light. Run To State
Awesome story! Great cop! Only sad thing is how no one wants to post in a thread these days about a cop doing something good.

Awesome story. Honestly I don't open all the police officer threads because it's normally repetive.
Jumper_Dad
Things like this happen 100s or 1000s of times a day. Unfortunately we hear less about these stories and exponentially more about the relatively few bad acts or claimed bad acts.
SportsGuy41017
Unfortunately the very few bad apples usually get all of the attention, one reason is due to confusion, disgust, and plain curiosity. Just like in the media, bad news sells. As Jumper mentioned, these acts by officers happen so many times a day you can't even count them. These officers show that they outweigh the bad ones by a lot. When you have just over 1 million leo's in the U.S., 1% is still 10,000. One of the best parts what at the end when they said that the event has restored the lady's belief in God. Bluto
40 years ago something similar happened to my mom & dad. Somewhere in rural Missouri my mom started having trouble breathing. My dad hit the gas and was pulled over doing over 100 mph on the interstate heading back to St. Louis. The officer (with lights & sirens going) immediately got in front of my dad's car and escorted them the rest of the way to the hospital.
