Florida State/ Clemson Updates

Sure, that's not targeting. ALLLLLL the other ones I've seen this year that they call targeting, and on that one - nothing.

Don't think it was. The way I understand it targeting is using your helmet as a weapon with intent. He his the offensive player with his shoulder. No idea if that's a penalty since it was to the helmet, but I don't believe it was targeting.

Hitting a defenseless player above the shoulders - that's been targeting in almost every game I have seen.

Really bad drive ... They've had their opportunities .. Unfortunately this is a much different FSU then years past.. No killer instinct.

Playing against the best Dline in college football.

What was the excuse against Georgia Tech?

There was no excuse for that game. The D-Line explanation though, that is valid. After the first quarter, they've really shut down the run game.

Also, that stop feels an awful lot like the clincher. Great field position and FSU could not make it work.

I mean I hope FSU wins honestly, I just was pointing out earlier that I don't feel like they have that killer instinct this year as opposed to when Famous Jameis was there.

Looks like Clemson got this one. Their defense is unreal.

If we're talking killer instinct, they haven't had that in two years. They certainly didn't have it last year. Just think of all the close games where they had to finish it on defense because they could never put the game away. Two years ago they put those teams DOWN.

A blocked kick.

I was pleased with aspects of FSU's effort, but this was always an uphill battle. Clemson is very good, and playing in Death Valley was a lot. I think most Nole insiders expected Clemson to win this game even before the Georgia Tech debacle. Hopefully next year is the improvement they're hoping for.
