November 10, 201510 yr QB play is a big difference in UK and UT. That mixed with better talent everywhere else too, but a QB is a great equalizer. Look at what Prescott has done for MSU. Not bashing Towles but if UK had great QB play they'd win more, even with the lack of depth everywhere else. UK must improve the talent level defensively. Need bigger, more mobile defensive linemen, and better LB play. The secondary is hard to evaluate because UK gets zero pass rush without completely selling out to the blitz. I don't see any argument that would put UK and UT on a level playing field. UT had much more talent three years ago and is a much bigger name to sell to recruits. Awesome stadium to sell to players, history, etc. Not at all the same job. Stoops needs more time. Don't know if he's a great coach yet, but he cannot be truly evaluated yet IMO. Making a bowl would be a big statement.

Didn't say they can't/shouldn't lose those games...said they can't lose them in the fashion they are/did..basically not competitive at all. Comes a point in time when, if your talent isn't quite at the level it is with teams you play against, the coaching staff has to schme/game plan to make up for it. Well...:idunno:

Brossart can have the best game plan and scheme ever created by a football team, and they aren't going to beat Trinity, I think we all know that. However, could Brossart beat another pretty decent 1A team that maybe has better talent by scouting, excellent game planning and throwing a few wrinkles in there (scheming) that the other team doesn't expect?
