Louisville 20 Wake Forest 19

Featured Replies

UL wins a very sloppy game on the road playing three QB's.

Was it just me or were others surprised UL was awarded the TD on the 3rd down pass play in the first half? I thought the video was pretty clear that the ball was not across the goal line when his knee hit.

I agree with you.

I agree with you.

Would have made a fun 4th down play.

Louisville just looks really ugly winning games the last two weeks. And why was Jackson not playing in the 4th? Was he hurt?

He had a hurt ankle but I think it was probably more of a "coach's decision." The TV guys said Bonnafon wasn't playing because of an injury to an "upper extremity"........which looked to me like was his head. He loooked a little groggy. Thought Bolin did a good job. He seems to energize the team.

I’ve been wondering about a Lamar injury as well. He doesn’t move like he did previously.

Super psyched about Trevon Young on Defense – that guy is on fire.

Happy for the win – go Cards!

I definitely agree with you about Lamar. He is not outrunning anybody on the flanks and is not juking as effectively up the middle when the pocket breaks down.

I was confident there couldn't be a worse offense in the ACC than BC -- then came Wake Forest. They literally scored 19 points via: a long pass where the S took a bad angle and didn't wrap up and the CB couldn't find the ball / gave up on the play; a long pass where the CB was one on one and played the ball rather than tackling the WR (unnecessary when WF was not even remotely moving the ball); a botched punt return (FG after a nice defensive stop); and a stupid safety (Jackson has more confidence in his escapability than he should; get rid of it). Other than that, defense was awesome against an awful WF offense.

Offense looked good on the 1 drive before halftime. Staples (#2) is starting to look like Devontae Parker. He wants the ball and he catches it when it is thrown to him. Still too many penalties, whiffed blocks, mental mistakes, poor decisions, special teams failures (blocked FG attempt could have been deadly and UofL OL just got pushed backward like he was a "sled").

Unless the improve tremendously, they will get drilled in a bowl game and possibly by UK. At least they are young and can improve.

Ugly but got it done, I'll take it.

Agree!

Some of these college officials are in left field, or in a field of dreams or something.
