JPP is back

Featured Replies

Signed with the Giants today. Apparently his hand has heeled. They will use a roster exemption to allow him to practice until he's ready to play.

Are you happy, happy, happy?

The Giants pass rush can't really get worse at this point. They got Ayers back last week...JPP back soon...hopefully it improves.

Maybe soon they'll also get Cruz and Beatty back. Might make a push and actually compete for the playoffs.

Not gonna lie, had to look up JPP to find out to who this was in reference and forgot about the fireworks incident. John Pierre-Paul.

It's actually Jason Pierre Paul.

Did I see on the bottom line that it was a very incentive based contract? I like when players have those.

How does a guy with basically 1 hand benefit the pass rush?

Yes. Allowing him to possibly recoup some of the money he lost, and protecting the Giants as well.

He's missing one finger. Apparently the rest has heeled.

My guess is the team, who have very good doctors, wouldn't have brought him back if they didn't think there was a chance he could help.

And they're 31st in sacks. It can't get much worse.

He's basically limited to the speed rush. He can't play against the run now. I don't see how he will be terribly beneficial. However, now his contract is on the cheap, so if I'm the Giants I say "Why Not?"

How do you know how good he'll be at anything? I'm not saying he's going to be as good as he was, but run defense was his best attribute before.

He's missing his index finger, half of his middle finger, and most of his thumb.

Just give him some sticky gloves and he'll be fine.
