I think he was just poking your word choice... It kinda alluded to Highlands/Cov Cath ducking NKY competition. I don't think that is your opinion Greyfox. They usually play a GCL team and a top 6A team each year, no need to duck anyone. Plus Ryle and Highlands played twice a year for like 3 years cause H couldn't find anyone to play. And then they are playing these teams when they are "down" and the other teams are up... wouldn't this be the year to duck?

In the past 4-5 years, Cov Cath has played Ryle, Campbell Co., Dixie, Beechwood, Boone Co Conner and of course Highlands, multiple times. Cov Cath has not ducked any N Ky competition. And it never bothered me that Highlands played fewer N Ky teams since they clearly filled it with GCL teams and similar.

Not only does CCH not duck anyone, it seems like most years they go the opposite way with a killer schedule.

No and no. Believe Ziegelmeyer won't be back for 1 more week. And McGinness did not dress as I was told. New policy for Coach Eviston and staff as they now are using a game day roster, younger McGinness did not make it this week. Could be wrong but parent of a player told me last night after game about the new system.

Btw, running scared is not how I Would put it. There are always 2 sides to every story and the HHS and CCH folks always have their side.

What is the other side of the story?

To be fair, Dixie has not had the annual "one of the top 1 or 2 teams in NKY" every year either.

I can't remember when HHS or CCH haven't both always been given the top 2 or 3 spots in the area even though HHS would hardly play any NKY team.

 

Dixie is a team that has never been considered a top team in NKY. 1 run doesn't make a pereniel top team.

 

Just like Cooper's one year run, a few years ago, ( Cooper isn't a perennial top team in NKY either. ) BTW last years Dixie team could have scored 100 pts. on Cooper if they wanted, so let's not go down that road, for your Jags. Funny how it's OK to rip other teams in NKY, but when somebody says anything about Cooper it's bashing, it goes both ways. Just standing up for the Kenton County Schools.
