I like your assumption that MF makes it that far. The tid bits I just posted I think show that anyone of those 6 is capable. Does not seem like a lot of seperation

We took a top 10 6A team to OT. What Happened in the two games where you guys were shut out?

Well done Toothpick. That's more work than I'm willing to put in. :-) I won't see any of these teams unless they play DeSales, so I cannot give an informed opinion. CAL's defense is solid, but not as good as last year's D in my opinion. They were REALLY good last year. DeSales will ride their defense as far as it will take them. Six of the ten games are against 5-A and 6-A schools, and another against CAL, and STILL only allowed 62 points (including a pick-six). If we're the third best defense in 2-A (or worse), then we won't get very far in the playoffs.

Does CAL have more speed in the secondary than Desales?

 

Great question. I'd say it could go either way. DeSales has two guys in the secondary that can catch nearly anyone from behind (they each did it against Fern Creek's speed), and clearly CAL has some talent in the secondary. DeSales has not given up more than 17 points in a game the last two seasons, so we will be in every game. We just have to get better on offense.

The question is do we have time to get better on offense?

The next few games will not tell a lot.

I would say we have three guys that can really run.

Mayfield will make it that far for sure.

DS Dad, sometimes you have to say something that will get posters attention to get responses and I would say it worked pretty well in this instance. Oh, I stole the work from another guy. I am too lazy and have to much already to do to have put in that much research.
