Boyle County stays at number one, but Belfry drops after a beat down by the number one team in West Virginia. Belfry probably should have lost that game, but should they have lost it in the manner in which they did? Central moves in the number two spot after the Belfry loss. A lot of teams in the 5-10 group have the week off. Who should be in the discussion at the bottom of the Top 10? Who will move down after this week?

Happy to see the Adair County Indians get the nod for the #10 slot. I'd venture to say this is their first time in the Top 10 ever.

They deserve it. Can they build on that ranking and move up?

I don't think so. They will have to win their district to do that.

I actually hope they beat Etown, but I'm not that bold to pick it as Etown very likely has better athletes. But anything can happen. So if they lose to Etown, I think they have really good chance to beat Hart and Casey, but don't think they can realistically move up further unless they convincingly beat Etown.

This game for Adair co. will be the biggest game in program history if the weather is good should be a packed house this team has great support from their fans.

Fleming County got an excellent win over Russell.

Do you think it would have to be a "convincing" win to move up? Say something like 35-28...what does a tight game but a win do for adair in the eyes of the state?

If Adair County defeats Elizabethtown then I think it legitimizes them and I could see them moving up. In all honesty I think if they lose but keep it close they have a good argument to stay ranked. I feel like Adair County gets very little respect statewide because they are the new kid on the block and their schedule isn't a challenging schedule. Adair County's plan isn't to come in and win state right away so I think they also take a lot of unnecessary criticism. They are building a program and learning what it takes to become successful. They are planting seeds and laying the groundwork for success down the road. This game against Elizabethtown on the 16th will tell us how far down that road Adair County is. I think most people won't expect them to win or keep it close so if they can manage to do either of those things then I think Adair County will get some much deserved respect statewide.

Belfry definitely laid an egg last Friday. Despite that....look for them to rebound from the loss.

Neither ranked but a big game this week for both programs is Union County at Fort Campbell.Long bus ride and a very tough game for Union to win. Don't anyone be deceived by the Falcons 2-4 record. They just might be the best 2-4 team in football. They started out 0-4 with losses to Mayfield (#1 in 2a), Russellville (#5 in 1a) Hopkinsville (#5 in 4a) and Christian County (#9 in 5a) and the past two weeks have bombarded Fort Knox 43-8 and Trigg County 34-14, not powerhouses of course but still impressive victories. Coach McKillip has had two weeks to prepare and his senior QB is on fire, running for close to 300 yards and passing for 300 yards in those two games. Union is pretty good against the run but not against the pass. Union runs the ball well but just cannot catch the football on a regular basis. if FC wins this game, they are in the driver's seat for the 2 seed because they get Tilghman at home. If UC wins, they have Tilghman on the road and will be a tough task. Tilghman probably beats both and in that case the loser ends up being the 4 seed and traveling to E-Town in the first round. The winner ends up the 3 seed and goes to Adair. The Falcons have won the last two games against Union 42-6 and 52-20. I think the Braves task is daunting to say the least. Good luck to both teams.

This is an interesting game Emmitt! I honestly don't know a ton about either team except Union has a bright young coach who I have heard about. I thought Union held together pretty will against a very talented Caldwell squad. I do concur with your assessment that Fort Campbell has played a really tough schedule and are very likely better than their record. I'd call it 50-50 and probably lean Ft Campbell due to the bus right and security clearance.
