Class 1A

1. Beechwood at Bellevue

2. Paintsville at #8 Fairview

3. Pikeville -- OPEN

4. Raceland -- OPEN

5. Russellville -- OPEN

6. Paris at Nicholas County

7. Campbellsville -- OPEN

8. Fairview vs. #2 Paintsville

9. Hazard at Phelps (10/8)

10. Bishop Brossart at Bracken County

Beechwood retains the number one spot, and that will not likely change this week. The Super District starts it's district games this week with Paintsville taking on Fairview. Will we know more about Fairview this week? Will we know about Paintsville? "OPEN" will be busy this week in Class 1A with many teams taking a week off to prepare for district games. Who benefits more from that week off? Who should be in the discussion for the Top 10 after this week? Will anyone move after this week?

I think a big factor at this point in the season for Raceland and Pikeville is indeed this open week. Both teams are in the chase for their districts, regions, and a shot at BG. I think having this week off to heal up a little, cool their engines, regroup, watch some film, and get ready for the rest of the regular season, but more importantly the rest of their district games and the post season.

If Fairview loses in a blow out does Hazard and Brossart jump above them?

Brossart and Hazard would have to win in blow outs, imo

I say they will.

All the excitement and news in 1A over the next couple weeks is going to be in the "super district". There probably won't be much change in the rankings other than what might happen in those games.

Has Paintsville seen an offense as explosive as Fairview? I assume they'll be able to put up some points on the Fairview defense but Roy and Washinton can give it right back to them.

If Fairview pulls off the upset that'll make things interesting.

Unfortunately with injuries, i dont think Campbellsville belongs on this list. I would rank KCD, Holy Cross, and Bethlehem ahead of them.

With their full roster, they would very much be in the thick of things in 1A.

I said at the start of the season that that district could come down to tie breakers. Gotta go undeafeated in district play to win it. If everyone finishes 1-1 is the tie breaker the best season record?

Total number of victories of the teams you have beat... Biggest number wins the tie break.

Playoff time is near. But the regular season for the class A super district will fun to watch.

Hey Weather, we will see... Campbellsville plays 2 out of those 3 teams to end the season.. Stay Tuned

Campbellsville has won some games without Young haven't they? Didn't they beat Green County without Young playing? Which game did Young get hurt in?

Young didn't play the Green Co game, and Cubit didn't play past the 3rd series in the Green Co game I believe. The Eagles' sole loss without Young and Cubit came by Danville, which with them would have happened anyway.
