Best Lineman in Class A

Featured Replies

Can we talk about a position that doesn't get much love? Who are the best Lineman in Class A football?

I don't get to see enough other 1A teams to know that he's the best or not, but Bethlehem's William Brown is pretty good.

Isaac Wallace from Raceland (that's the last name I think). He's started I think since he's a freshman there on some good teams and is just a junior and is in a lot better shape physically compared to last year.

Agreed. His work ethic has become tremendous. He has lost around 60lbs since his senior year and I expect by his Frosh season, he will be around 6'3" 275 and run about a high 5.5s 40. Also from Raceland, while a bit undersized at 5'9" 240, Jerome Hall is another good one for the Rams. Alex Niece is a big ol country strong kid as well. Raceland really has some good lineman and will only lose their center this year. DE Kyle Jamison has had a good year as well. Several tackles for loss, hadful of sacks, a fumble recovery for a TD and a Pick 6. Morgan Carmen at the other DE has really come on strong as well since being banged up alot in his Frosh and Soph seasons. Had a good second half of the year last year. Expecting big things from these guys the rest of this year and next. (Minus Jamison that is a Sr, expecting him to continue at a high level this season though)

For Russellville I'm not very familiar with their line but coach Myers has been quoted in saying it is the best line since he has been at Rville. 12 long years and they have had some talented teams thoughout his time.

Hunter Conway - Frankfort - he is a junior.

Hunter Conway is a pretty good Lineman!

Brayden Combs from Beechwood would be on this list if he wasn't heading down the baseball path with UK. So, continuing with the homer approach, I will throw BW's Justin Overstreet's name in the ring. Seems to get stronger as the game progresses and he plays both ways. I might have a few more names to add after the 1A portion of the schedule is complete.

William Brown From Bethlehem High School is solid. Plays his position (Center) extremely well. Excellent drive blocker and pass protector. Quick feet and good hands. Judging from what i have seen of him he could play any position on the line. Throw in he is a 4 year starter on both sides of the ball and that he has a high GPA, and ACT score as well as ranking in the top of his class in an "Academic School". Ive been told he is getting looks from NAIA to small D1.

This is w hat makes Rville scary this year

They have been very close to getting over the hump for the past 5 years. Losing many region championships when it was in there crasp in 3a and being somewhat competitive with mayfield the past couple years. Hopefully their line can put them over the hump.
