Well if you want to start playing the what if X's and O's game, ok. If you cannot control his play side shoulder, then you better not come off to the LB, because if you do he is basically free to make the tackle.

I have seen both teams play this season. The line play is definitely better for Cooper. That is where ball games are won and lost. The skill players for LexCath are extremely athletic and will give Cooper problems. If Cooper eliminates the big play potential from LexCath, they win no problem. If LexCath skill kids make big plays, it will be a long night for Cooper. I think Cooper has a better defense than LexCath, along with better play in the trenches, that's why I believe they will win. It will be a hard fought game either way

Cooper is not big. I don't think anyone ever said their lines were big. Cooper has always and traditionally had very small lines compared to their opponenets yet they seem to usually be really good up front. That has more to do with their line coach , coach Burnett than anything else. Even in their 2012 state run they were the smallest each week yet got the job done.

 

If anyone has never played Cooper, I would not go into the game expecting to be outsized....ever.

With all do respect @oldoc, giving up 36pts to Station and 26 to SK is not what I call world beater of a defense. Not to mentioned giving up points to what we believe this season as an awful Highlands and Campbell county, but If you believe it then so be it. I'm sure Madison Central thought the same and Fagot only put up 290 passing yards and 3 TD and them.

 

The point totals don't look good, but both Simon Kenton and Bryan Station had their lowest scoring game of the season against Cooper. SK has scored 45+ in every other game and only got 26 against Cooper, more than 20 points below their average.

Coach Burnett is the best, hands down! Cooper is extremely lucky to have him!

Coach Burnett does not coach the defensive line, but he does a solid job with the O-Line

I agree, but if they just get physical for four quarters I think they will be ok.

On paper this looks to be a good game, but I think Cooper's D is too much for Lex Cath. I take Cooper in a 14 pt win.
