This team is 10-0, scoring 40 goals while giving up only 4, GREAT JOB BREDS!!!!

Impressive start. Russell @ 8-0-1 looks to be a good test and of course NDA in early October, always a barometer, in this case going into tournament season.

All the makings of a NCC Vs NDA Regional final.

If that happens, I'll take a .500 ND team over an undefeated NC team all day because of a much tougher schedule and deeper bench.

dallaslaredo, you maybe right but I would check again on how deep NCC is.

NCC is a very good team...very tough on the ball and physical, very good team speed, very very good defense. They really pack it in on corner kicks and are very tough to score on. They are young too. I will be watching to see how far they go...

No question NDA's schedule is far tougher then NCC's.

As far as depth, short of some critical injuries between now and middle of October, depth is over rated. By the time Regionals roll around you should be relying on your top 11 and filling in 2-3 players at most. Your top 11 and your impact player(s) determine the outcome 90%+ of the time.

The Breds punch their ticket to Frankfort for the quarter finals of the all A in Frankfort. This was a game of two different halves.

Ncc came out in the first half and controlled the ball a majority of the time, and about 10 minutes into the game, on the third consecutive corner kick, Albrandt scores to make it 1 to 0. About 5 minutes later Albrandt scores again to push the lead to 2 to 0. About 10 minutes to go in the half, Tolle scores to increase the lead to 3 to 0. That's what the score remained going into half.

Not sure what the Brossart coach said at half time, but Brossart came out in the second half and big mo was on their side. Brossart controlled the ball the majority of the second half, and with about 20 minutes to go crack the scoring column with a goal to make it 3 to 1. Ncc comes right back for an apparent goal, but was nullified by an offside call. Brossart had a couple more good scoring changes, but Ncc's defense was up to the challenge, and the final was 3 to 1.

This game was clean, only a few fouls and no cards. Had several stops in play due to girls getting "nicked up", but thankfully nothing serious and all returned into the game. If they had a stat for players on the ground, from slide tackles, to diving for the ball or just the turf monster getting them, this would rank right up there near the top. Both teams left it out on the field.

Pretty much how I summed it up in the preview/update thread last night. Great effort by both teams. Good luck to the lady Breds down state.

Very hard fought game by both teams, NCC just had to much talent but Brossart's effort should be commended.

I read between the lines last night and it is exactly what you said.....just in the Cliifs Notes version
