No. LexCath is still LexCath. Letton left and they still made it to the state semis every year and lost to Highlands when they got there.

I agree that JC and South W are the top 2 teams, but JC better Learn to pass before playing South because South is probably has the toughest run defense in the State.... I really do hope these two square off at State though. It would be an "Instant Classic"!!!!

Maybe so... but SW hasn't seen an animal like JC before either.If you thought Central and Tilghman were physical team the past two years...just know JC was on a completely different level than them.

 

Right now those two teams appear to be the class of 4A for sure.

It will be a great game and I think it will happen. JC will have to pass more than twice if South Warren is that good on defense as I havent got to see them. Might be the best state championship game of all classes if it happens.

 

Again, congrats to JC and Coach Matney tonight! He tried some things with his offense I have never seen him do so maybe he is trying to install some passing game to keep teams honest.

Yes they did. I cant comment with certainty but it looked like ineffectiveness from my perspective. The QB they brought in played lights out too and almost brought them back. They also switched RB's late too.

Well said. The JC defense is very very good and return 9 starters from last years team. 28 points against them with a shot at more than that says something about the Knights offense. They are fast and run their offense fast. I type over 100 wpm and couldnt get half a sentence off between snaps. It was not easy to keep up with them even on a computer.

Every time LexCath plays a mountain team all I hear is how a city team will get dominated in the trenches, then they come play us and get beat handily. Johnson Central was the mountain team that actually dominated. Very impressed by them

Timing is crazy. Imagine realignment takes place next year and 4A had Highlands, CovCath, LexCath, Boyle and Johnson Central. Johnson Central would still be #1 right now but with way more respect.

With respect... for the past 5 years there have only been two mountain teams that have the clout to even make that claim. JC and Belfry. This is the first time LC has played one of those two.

 

Bell County is a shadow of their former selves.
