Ashley Mullins I think.

Ashley Mullins I think.

Oh, I am not sure I know who that is.

Powell County lost two players. Ashley Mullins (56th District Tournament MVP)and Tina Engle (About the 4th off the bench) graduated from last years team. Should be the top in the 56th, but have some work to do to get past Perry Central in the Region next year.

1)Perry Co.

2)Knott Co.

3)Hazard

4)Letcher

5)Leslie Co.

Hazard will be the sleeper. They return Slone, Hall, and Combs. Three big players for last years team.

Don't think Leslie should be #5. They didn't look to bad at Hazard last week.

I agree with bigbluefan. Leslie shouldn't be #5. They beat Hazard & KCC last week. They have most of their players comin' back as well. They have Stidham & Lewis both comin' back as seniors. Boggs should be back from her knee injury. They also have alot of other players as well.

I am not saying that Buckhorn is a top team in the region, but I think they will be the most improved under new coach Tim Wooton.

53rd

I am going to have to go with...

1. KCC-Didn't lose much last year and they have 3 or 4 girls that have as much experience as a junior or senior does.

2. LCC-Lost alot to graduation. This is more of a rebuilding season for them. Very young but look for them to make some noise.

3. Cordia-They didnt lose much to graduation and return most of their lineup. They could make some noise.

4. Jenkins-I am not sure on them.

5. JBS-A very young team. Lost the majority of their lineup to graduation . But Coach Hayes could turn this team around. Return Huff, on a side note the oldest girl on the team is a sophmore. Look for this team to make a run in a couple of years. They have 8 or 9 gradeschool girls.

54th

1. PCC-They return Madden and Sturdivant. A force to be reckoned with. They only lost a couple of girls.

2. Leslie-They will have a very good team if Boggs returns from her injury. They return the Stidam girl.

3. Hazard-They will have a good team and look for them to make some noise. They return their two big girls.

4. Buckhorn-I am not sure on this team as well.

55th

1. Breathitt-Lost most of their lineup to graduation but they return some very good players as well.

2. Wolfe-They retun the Burton girl and that is about all know of them.

3. Riverside-I don't know anything about them. But based on last years records they are my number 3 pick.

4. Jackson City. As with Riverside, I don't know much about them.

56th (Not very familiar with the 56th.)

1. Lee-Not sure what they return or lost but they are a very good team.

2. Owsley-They return the Combs girl that I know of.

3. Powell-Once again not sure on this team as well.

4. Estill-As with Powell not sure on this team.

After watching the games at Breathitt Co Camp, Owsley beat Lee 3 times by 15+ with veryone there on both teams. Combs from Owlsey has a few loose ends but still a tough players, has size , runs the pg and shoots the balll very well. Knott is tough being led by Mosley, witch is without a doubt a top player in the region, one of the best pg's girls i have ever seen. Neither Cordia or Owlsey could press becasue of her.Knott beat cordia easily but only got away with a 3pt win againest owsley after a hard fought game. The girl I believe named Rosie from Cordia isnt a bad athlete just very raw talent and a raw attitude from what i seena dn everyone there saw. Breathitt has the size to cause anyone trouble, esp in this region. The tall girls downlow and the two 2guards are a tough combination. I believe the one girls who leads breathitt last name may be Moore but i'm not positive.

Breathitt holds a nice camp and the hospitality is great:thumb: , Coach from Breathitt, i belive Coach Peggy does a great job, keep it up.
