Garrard has been waiting to play Rockcastle for years. Seems like it has been ages since they've played Rock. Wouldn't count it as a penciled in win. Remember Jerry Perry is the coach and will have them ready in three weeks. Which is plenty of time to improve that defense. Plus Shelby didn't run inside at all. All their runs were outside, something Rock doesn't do great, but we'll see.

There are no guarantee wins in sports now days. However Garrard will have to get their QB more involved than just handing the ball off if they are to have a successful season.......and of course you HAVE to throw the ball too!!!!!!

The offense had nothing to do with Garrard's loss on Friday... BTW, the QB had over 70 yds rushing. many of those yards were on scrambles from attempted passes.

You guys better not count Garrard County out. It was just one game, besides when your best Receiver is out, which is also their best DB that's a huge loss. Garrard is whole different team when Nick is out there!

Finally, he was 1 of 5 passing for 6 yards. Don't think he was doing to much scrambling to get his other 25 rushing yards.

 

So let me make myself clear........IMO, they will need to pass the ball more to have a successful SEASON....especially in their district games and playoffs. Thanks!!

Although I see your point, if I'm not mistaken...Slade had 1 play for about 60 or so yards? He is GC's best player, and needs to be utilized. Simple as that.

I am no football coach, but I agree with Booby to a certain point. Crutchfield needs to be unleashed to make plays. With this schedule, and the lack of depth, GC can't just "stick with their ways" and try and run the ball down everyone's throat. Something has to give.

Excellent point. 1 run was for 50 yards, so the rest was for 8/ 25 yrds.

My point is.....your best player should be used as that. Coach Perry is a great coach and will get the most out of his players and program but their schedule has some quality opponents this year that will dictate that their offense be more wide open.
