Where the tradition started...

 

....and I think tradition is the reason as to why there has never been a huge emphasis on advertising it. I think from its humble beginning, it was never intended to be a big spectator show, but rather an opportunity for some guys to get together and play some hoops, pure and simple. The fact that they've been able to attract some bigger

names in recent years is just icing on the cake. Hope they don't change a thing.

From what I understand, you have the right of it. Friends playing some summer hoops.

Even with a little promoting on social media or such and maybe a local church or charity have a bake sale or sell water and make a little money. This event is too good to not be brought to the publics attention. I've only been once and saw an amazing championship game, but would try to make arrangements to catch it if possible again in the future.
