Didn't even come close to implying that but to say that any woman who gives up a child for adoption in unfit to be a mother is a GROSS exaggeration. Then to compound it by implying that no woman who loves her child would give it up and should rely on government programs is just plain asinine. I would argue that the greatest act of love a woman could show for her child would be giving the child up so that someone who is in a better situation to care for the child could do so.

There are all kinds of mothers who aren't unfit that have chosen adoption. But instead, let's scream about abortion or welfare kids and then call a mother unfit if she chooses adoption.

As I look at a picture of my precious little 3 month old baby I can't imagine someone doing something so disturbing to a sweet innocent child. Some really sick individuals in this world.

This seems like something we can all agree is exceedingly repugnant and totally indefensible on every level.

There are several alternatives that could have been chosen without anyone needing to die. None of them ideal, but far better than expecting a 14 yr old girl who was raped by a relative to raise the child. Give the baby to a loving couple wanting a child and get the 14 yr old some help to cope with the crime committed against her and the conflicted emotions she will have regarding the baby. Get her away from the monsters who did this and help her start over.

 

Prosecute the monsters and get them off the street.

 

In this scenario there is no shame in the 14 yr old giving the baby up for adoption. There is nothing immoral about it. She is the victim.
