Well as far as the qb's today. Dalton looked good on short routes but struggled with any deep ball. He had his usual over throw by 5 yards or under thrown on his deep balls

today.

AJ McCarron had trouble

with out routes and seemed

to have too much zip on the ball and it would stay a bit high on those pass routes but he was much better with the deep ball. His short passes were good. the thing that stands out the most between AJ and Dalton was the velocity AJ had on his passes. He had some really good zip in the ball.

Overall the the only one that stood out was one deep ball AJ threw that was a thing of beauty for a TD. AJ Green was awesome today and Dalton had a ugly Int that looked like Dalton of post season form. He just wasn't impressive at all today.

The Highlight today was watching Pac Man try to cover AJ Green. I think Pac Mans jock is still laying on the practice field.

Hey just remember Tampa Bay won the Superbowl in 2002 with Brad Johnson, and in 2001 the Raven's won with Trent Dilfer under center. If you get a strong defense and running game, (which at this point looks like the Bengals will have barring injuries), there is at least hope. Who Dey!

Your name fits you right now lol

Not saying they will be hoisting the Lambardi trophy in February, but other teams have won with less at the QB position that what Cincy currently has.

After watching yesterday there is clearly one and only one true star on this team right now and it is AJ Green. He needs a contract and needs one now.

True, but other teams have coaches that know how to prepare a team also.

They were talking about AJ on NFLN and it sounds like he's got a chip on his shoulder.

Yes and those two teams had defenses those years that were some of the best defenses of all time. While the Bengals defense can and should be good, they won't be one of the best of all time. Also in todays NFL your qb still has to make plays. The Seahawks have great defenses, but it has taken Wilson making big time plays and big time throws still for them to win playoff games. Your qb still has to make plays when it matters if you want to win playoff games in todays NFL.

Wouldn't you? I mean you know you are the best player in a team and have always kept your nose clean and never said a disparaging word about anyone and the team gives you QB who has proven he can't get it done in prime time or post season games (3-11) a big contract yet you can't even get

one done going into your last year.

really liked he NFL Network's coverage also. Went to training camp yesterday and was impressed with the Tight End group. Eifert looked good and thought Kroft looked good as well. Also the 7th rounder from LSU Alford stood out to me. He has very good hands and is lightening quick

The Bengals have got a lot of their long term contracts done for their better players during training camp the last few years. So I hope and think they will get one done with Green. Especially since the Bengals like to do deals based off how other teams structured contracts. They did Daltons which was very team friendly based of off Colin Kaepernicks deal. So I would think now that Dez Bryant, and Thomas have signed their deals. That now gives the Bengals and even Green's agent a good framework to work with to get a deal done. So I do think they will get a contract worked out before the season starts. That Dez, and Thomas deals were the best thing to happen to help get the Green deal done IMO.

He is from West Virginia, but I agree I have liked how he as looked so far.

The problem I have with waiting on AJ is the fact that the longer the Bengals wait they more expensive the contract will be. They need to do a deal similar to Dez's but if they wait too long Julio for Atlanta may sign a bigger contract and that will cost the Bengals even more.

That's why I think a deal will get done now before the season starts. They have done a good job targeting which players to lock up before a season and they have got it done the last three years or so with those players. So I do think we will see a deal get done before the season starts based off their recent track record. It probably will be similar to Dez. That Dez signing helped because before that Calvin Johnson's deal was the only one to look at and his deal is huge.
