The Reds will need to make a move for a pitcher to pitch Thursday's game against the Pirates. Which pitcher would you rather see the Reds call up to make the start. Robert Stephenson or newly acquired John Lamb?

Lamb. I wanna see the MLB-ready portion of our Cueto returns.

I'm guessing it'll be someone like Villarreal or Axelrod filling in. No way would I do that to Lamb if I'm the Reds.

Stephenson is pitching tonight for Louisville.

He is scheduled. It doesn't mean he'll make the start. Knowing the Reds they'll probably call up Holmberg. You can humor me though, and at least let me know who you would rather see Thursday.

Do what to him exactly?

I'd gladly watch either pitch as I'll be at the game, but I don't want to see either Thursday. Stephenson isn't ready and I don't think it'd be fair to Lamb.

Let's agree on 2 points.

1) Most fans have no clue who Lamb is other than a guy they got for Cueto.

2) The majority of Reds fans are idiots.

Knowing these two things, there is no way I'd start him in a game at the ML level right on the heels of the trade, for his major league debut. Could you imagine the fan reaction if one of the guys we got for Cueto went out there and got hit hard? Let him get a couple starts under his belt in Louisville and then bring him up in a few weeks. JMO.

ESPN has already posted Thursday's matchup as Lamb v Locke. They could be wrong but I doubt it. Figured it would be Lamb or Sampson who I think is on Cueto's same day but looks like Lamb. Excited to see what he's got this soon after the trade. He's certainly earned it, hoping he becomes the steal of the trade that I think he can be.

LeCure? :thumb:

Why not?, heck at this point throw Sean Marshall.:lol2:

2) The majority of Reds fans are idiots.

You really believe that? I'd like to think that we only hear idiot remarks/opinions from the loud Knee-jerk minority. I'd like to think most Reds fans are pretty knowledgeable. Or am I flashing back to the 60s & 70s again?

Heard yesterday that Marshall will be on the mound before the season is over.
