July 17, 201511 yr As a Garrard Countian, I'm sad to say there aren't many options here for restaurants like you are wanting. You are, however, very close to Danville, Harrodsburg, Stanford, Richmond, etc. Someone mentioned Shaker Village in Harrodsburg, which is about a thirty minute drive but would be very good for what you are looking for.
July 17, 201511 yr Been a while since I've been in those parts. Garrad County Stockyards if its still open. Used to be about the only place in town to eat (25 years ago). Eating, ambiance, and entertainment. Seriously. Shaker village is not too far and pretty neat. Home - Shaker Village Sadly, the Stockyards was torn down about five years ago. The restaurant you are talking about, The White Barn, actually was pretty good. I probably wouldn't have held a wedding reception there! I'm not sure if they would do what you want, but it might be worth a shot. https://www.facebook.com/pastureburgersandbbq The same people that run Pasture also run The Bluebird in Stanford, which is a really nice downtown restaurant. I probably wouldn't have held a wedding reception there! Here's a video of the stockyards, but no restaurant pictures! Ate at the "White Barn" plenty of times, and you are right, had some good grub.
