July 15, 201511 yr That's just stupid. However, keep in mind that it could have been MLB's decision to not have the game shown on the TV. After working the three events down there, I learned that the MLB had a ton of control over a lot of random decisions, and it wouldn't surprise me at all if that was one of them. That's what I thought as well....Until we found out the game was being shown outside on the big screen down at Fountain Square.
July 15, 201511 yr Author That's what I thought as well....Until we found out the game was being shown outside on the big screen down at Fountain Square. Could still be the MLB. I'd imagine they have quite a bit more control over things that go on at GABP versus up at Fountain Square. I don't know why either the MLB or the Reds wouldn't want it shown on the screen by the banks.
July 15, 201511 yr First time I have seen the outside jumbotron. It was as nice as expected. Thought I read a while ago they would not show live events and when the street is open to traffic it can only flash x amount of times per minute? Well they showed a live event, the crowd. Totally stupid! Plus they had the zip line that blocked half of the screen. Why did they stop serving beer on the street at game time as well? Only 2 misses of the event if you ask me.
July 15, 201511 yr What was the question? What 4 players in the 90's made the AS game every year? I got that second hand so someone correct me if it's not exactly that.
July 15, 201511 yr Ken Griffey Jr. I'm almost certain did. Maybe Tony Gwynn? I'll say Greg Maddux and Roger Clemens as the other 2 maybe?
July 15, 201511 yr Author Gonna be tough going back to working normal Reds games after all the action the last couple of days. I think it will be decent this weekend, riding the high and then I expect attendance to be a little rough expect for when Pittsburgh is in town.
July 15, 201511 yr I will say that viewing the parade today ......it would be quite a competition to pick the Mt. Rushmore of Wives and GFs of the All-Stars. Wow. TONS of beautiful women floating around the city for the entire week.
July 15, 201511 yr I love how the Reds fans think they actually have a rivalry with the Cardinals. Yadi's reaction is the greatest. I got a chuckle out of Pujols' reaction. I'm guessing he knew it'd be coming.
