Kings Hammer Teams headed to Regional events - Good Luck!!!

Featured Replies

KH has lost some really good coaches and directors in the past year.

I know of at least one really good coach they got in the past year as well.

I liked Jon, he had a tough job at Kings.

If you are in any way referring to Russell Lewis, my reply would be 9 letters and would begin with an "O". Often chanted erroneously at basketball games.

Maybe for the older kids, but not for the younger ones. In his short stint at KH, he was very well liked by the kids and parents. He had a plan in place that he communicated to parents weekly. He was visible at games, and did not interfere with coaching at those games. He was always available to answer questions or just talk. He was a huge upgrade over the previous director.

His u10 girls team at CU is going to be absolutely loaded.

I have as many examples of empty promises, sarcastic nastiness, and unwavering arrogance. Came to NKSA for a very short stint (and a big raise), and after spending 4 months doing the same thing he was doing at the end at Kings (which was recruiting players to his soon to be open [and now open] own club based in Newtown), he was shown the door.

The one thing he did that I thought was really effective was using the top kids from the older teams to serve as workout partners with the kids at YDA through the winter. Was good for the older kids to be able to help, teach, and instruct, and cool for the young kids in the development academy to get 1:1 training from a (sort of) peer.

Great thread, Yellow Card! :thumb:

Do you have rosters?

I will give it a go.... I think I can supply rosters for the teams headed to WI.... not sure about their accuracy.

Maybe this will also help to get us back to discussions about this thread.
