Augusta 2015/2016

Featured Replies

I think that MaCo thought that previously as well...hmmm..

Last time I thought that was circa 2005. Their freshman class was outstanding.

The talent level at Augusta over the last 5 years has been off the charts good. After these seniors graduate the talent level will drop off considerably. Not sure as to what they have coming up but they will have big shoes to fill. This run of talent is defintly the exception not the norm. Not to mention they had a two time 10th region COY at the helm. New coach in place this year, I think Kirk is a great coach but they may be some early growing pains in the first half of the season.

This season is the last season for the forseeable future that the Panthers will contend for an all A region and/or district. I dont believe even with what they have coming back the contend for the Region crown in March. The 39th is going to be a dog fight this season so even getting out of that district is going to be a tall order. This is the first season in a long time that Augusta, Bracken, and Mason are so evenly matched. Any of the three could win the district. As of today none of the three will be a big threat to win the region. IMO Campbell, MoCo or maybe GRC will be the ones cutting down the nets in March.

As far as it being the last season to challenge Mason Im not so sure about that eithier. Bracken will be a very good team over the next 2 years. And possibly contend for the Region in 2017. Just my opnion.

Just a hunch that Mason will probably exceed most expectations.

Pretty good hunch IMO.

Even with Augusta returning their very talented seniors while Bracken County has the 10th Region POY now including last year's 10th Region COY I do not see them being equally matched with the Royals, just yet..

Campbell and MontCo are way out in front. MontCo arguably has the best PG, Best shooter, top 4/5 center, Jared Jones transferred and is a beast and Campbell.....

McGovneys is as strong a guard as it gets, and there last season 6'0 underclass men are now 6'4, 6'4, and 6'6 and can feel it up.

After those two, the region is practically wide open with the exception of your lower echelon programs. Should be an interesting season.

Kirk will have early buy in from the kiddos an they'll be better than ever. I really want to see Snapp come back !!! Might be my favorite player in the 10th all around. Well I shouldn't be biased. I like all players so long as they're 10th boys!
