Maybe a shock to Campbell, but not to Harrison.

Stroub was 2 for 6. Hitting solid shots with only two falling for hits. Thought his catching was very solid, however he threw one pickoff at first into right field allowing Camels to advance to third leading to first run. Probably one of Breds fastest runners, but was thrown out trying to stretch a single and threw the ball to first multiple times to a player not nimble enough to handle any waywardness on throws.

Did I hear correctly that the Camels went up by 1 or 2 in extras only to see the Breds tie it up again?

 

How many pitchers for HC can not pitch the next game?

This is not the dominant type team that Whitaker usually fields. They have no overpowering pitcher, slower afoot, and little power. Defense usually wins for them and today they struggled in the field. Bourbon with Brown pitching will be very difficult for HC. Breds will have to be smart and nearly perfect to advance. Scott sure got a perfect draw. Could win region if they have any pitching for final game.

Believe Garrison that went nine is finished for 3 days. Taylor went a heavy three, so I think he can pitch. However, Whitaker is going to start a sophomore right hander that has an 8-0 record. Do not know his name, but told he throws 80 with great control.

Previous thread gives you an exhaustive inning by inning. Many opportunities for each team to win it. CC never quit and came back from 5-1 in top of 7th. Had runners on 2nd and 3rd with no outs and did not score anymore that inning. Went up 6-5 with HC coming back to tie and then finally win in 12th.

High pitch count. I would guess something like 50 or more for the three innings.

PC-GRC was suspended until tomorrow. With the forecast of rain this week, Harrison's pitching situation may be fine.

It was a fun game to attend. Both teams had their chances before the 12th inning. There were no surprises in this one. Campbell took the first season game at home 4-3, Breds took the second season game at Harrison 2-1. Today the Breds out lasted them in a battle.

Sorry that the Camels played so well, it must be disturbing that there is nothing to complain about. Camels have the Breds respect, I guess that means more.....
