I thought players could only recieve letters until thier juniour year, then they could get scholly offers.

Offers can be made any time. There are restrictions on contact but not for offers as far as I know.

The offers were made through head coach, Chris O'Hearn.

Add Tennessee to the list of offers. By the time he is a senior, it will be easier to list the schools that have NOT offered him- if there are any. Darius reduced his 40 time this week also. He is an outstanding young man in addition to being a talented athlete.

I have heard talk from our area as well, not necessarily to the degree as you have. As I have stated for the past 2 years when listing my possible Mr. Basketballs for KY for the classes of 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009, Miller was my choice for 2008.

I do not believe UK is asleep at the wheel. Miller is a stand out in "KENTUCKY", but is not listed on "ANY" national rankings that I know of. He is still developing and is raw in quite a few facets of the game. He is fast, but not necessarily quick as one college source told me. He will be a 3 or 4 spot in college unless he is able to improve his ballhandling skills a great deal. He has the height and the strength. Let's see how he develops the rest of the summer before we stamp this player a "franchise".

Darius played with Derek Smith last yr in Vegas and did very well. This is a good assessment, being a 3 in college. He is certainly good enough to play D-1 at the 3 spot. He is still young as far as maturity goes and his "killer" attitude on the court must improve, which it will. He looks better in the summer b/c at Mason Co he is keyed in on. In the summer, with D-1 greyhounds and some with DS he has a whole team of good players and the double teams or sag defenses don't work. It is surprising though to see the players ranked nationally, most of them I have seen and not see Darius with any love. He comes from a great family and should get more hype than he does from those ranking these kids.
