Hard year to figure out. I liked Conner to start but I have liked em every year,so there is that. Haven't seen em this year. Hope weather gets good and games get played.

You could almost put 3-4 teams in a hat and hit the jackpot.

Camels blew out WV and ranked below them??? 12 to 3. I think I'll watch the Reds.

 

No offense but the Camels seen the JV pitcher for WV. I take nothing away from CC that game they hit the snot out of the ball. Probably a different story if Lexi was pitching IMO.

I know that Walton Verona pitched two pitchers that game (not sure who). The 1st girl that pitched(varsity game) also, pitched during jv. Anyways, sounds like I would pitch Lexi more often.

Boy, I love rankings!!! Wasn't UK ranked #1 the whole year and was supposed to win it all??? :banana:

 

That's why we play the game folks, it's not for the rankings. It's about the match ups.

It is done via SidStats, an online stat tracking service linked to the Enquirer. Every week from Friday at noon until Sunday evening at 11:59 p.m., the coaches (are supposed to)log in and you have 10 positions (1-10), each has a dropdown which contains all NKY teams in the Enquirer readership area. Coaches then select #1 and who they THINK the #1 team in NKY is, go to #2 open dropdown and select and so on.

 

I do the voting for NewCath and I wait until Sunday evening to send in my votes. This allows me to the chance to see what teams do that play on Saturday.

 

It would be VERY helpful if more teams had fans putting info on this site so EVERYONE is better informed, because unless Richard Skinner or Marc Hardin are covering a game you don't see :poop: in the paper.

Since there were 9 first place votes does that mean only 9 teams were represented with votes?

Lexi does pitch most of the time and she had thrown 2 games before which were district games. I believe that there was a another district game coming up after that. I do not want to take anything away from CC. They hit the :poop: out of the ball that day. I believe that the lead off batter had back to back Jacks that day and the second one was a no doubter!

Lesson taken from this....is to not rely on one person to win it for you. I always just blame the coaches:)....much easier.

I have not seen ND play but we have played Conner, Highlands and Boone.

I will take Conner to win the 9th this year depending that they stay healthy.

Conner and Highlands are both very good softball teams.

Conner has a big non conference game coming up against a very good Anderson County team this weekend.

If anyone gets to play this weekend. AGAIN.

Looking forward to the rest of the season. The Birds have played some tough teams while missing their all-region shortstop. She went into a cast as soon as basketball was over and returns this weekend.

All players stats have to be from the SidStats program. Click on the pictures for an example of what it looks like in this thread http://bluegrasspreps.com/ky-softball-high/newport-central-catholic-256692.html. It makes it easier for all coaches to look at the stats when they are all submitted in this form.

 

It means only 9 coaches voted this week.

I always thought rankings were based on who you have played, who you have beaten or lost to that are ranked or common opponents , where you played etc....? The Lady Cru have beaten 4 top ten teams by the total score of 29 to 11 (All of which were on the road) two of them presently are ranked ahead of them , all of the above were ranked higher prior to game time , including a past number 1. That poll is as accurate as a winter storm forecast in the Florida Keys. For the last statement made I must end with IMO.

Lexi was the 2nd pitcher during the WV game against the Camels.
