I've seen all of the teams play in your top 4 and can't comment on 5 through 6 because I haven't seen them yet but nothing wrong with the top 4 that I can tell. That order might change a little once the year rolls on but all three are going to be there in the end. All very solid teams in your top three

How do the coaches vote on who goes in what order? Do they look into it to see the teams for wins, losses and possible strength of schedule, or is it just pencil whipped? I mean heck, one of the top 10 only has 2 wins, and one team in the other has zero, unless I'm missing something. I laugh b/c I think wow softball does suck in this area if we have to mention teams with zilch wins. It's not like the season just has a couple of games in, it looks like most have played at least 8 games. Maybe that's not enough games to determine were some stand and we just need teams to fill in the empty space.

I think Brossart should be ranked higher, but that is our own fault. We need to beat the teams that we should and we fell short of that last night. No way in this world IMO that Walton Verona should be at the 10 spot.

I think Conner is Legit at the #1 spot. Everyone else IMO is 1 play away from getting beat.

It is done via SidStats, an online stat tracking service linked to the Enquirer. Every week from Friday at noon until Sunday evening at 11:59 p.m., the coaches (are supposed to)log in and you have 10 positions (1-10), each has a dropdown which contains all NKY teams in the Enquirer readership area. Coaches then select #1 and who they THINK the #1 team in NKY is, go to #2 open dropdown and select and so on.

 

I do the voting for NewCath and I wait until Sunday evening to send in my votes. This allows me to the chance to see what teams do that play on Saturday.

 

It would be VERY helpful if more teams had fans putting info on this site so EVERYONE is better informed, because unless Richard Skinner or Marc Hardin are covering a game you don't see :poop: in the paper.

Question for you Lawnboy. What do you base your rankings on when you are making them? You looking at scores or opponents or combination of these or something else?

 

Just curious because I always thought there were some coaches who would sincerely put in the effort and others that simply go through the motions if they even do them at all.

I take it seriously when I submit my votes. I look at both scores and competition, as well as what I see in person. Early on it's a tough nut, but as the season goes on usually the cream rises to the top.

Camels blew out WV and ranked below them??? 12 to 3. I think I'll watch the Reds.
