Is this someone other than the redhead? The redhead is about the size you listed and plays on both sides of the ball. RK is a beast. He matured early and has a wide body with strength. Played in BCPWFL. His first year was 4th grade and he did fine but hadn't figured out how big he was at that time. Moved up to the Junior division and played on the Broncos. At some point he figured it out and I've seen him launch several boys through the air while blocking them. My son's team scrimmaged them last year and RK is still a beast. Unfortunately, he will wind up at Cooper (unfortunate because I would love to see him at Boone).

 

Sounds like the kid did that played for the Union Jags. The kid is pretty good.

I like Cooper as the sleeper/dark horse of NKY this year. Albeit they are moving up to 6A. Lest we forget...this is the senior class that owned NKY their 8th grade year...and was the core of the team's success the last few year. Physical bunch of guys that can "thump" if I remember correctly.

There's no hype to this Cooper team. They get it done, quietly. No parent entitlement going on there. The focus is on the field! Very humble and hard working!

I saw Marcus Watson Sat Morning and he has definitely bulked up. He looks so much bigger than just last year already. He is really taking this season seriously and if he isn't being looked at he will be soon is my guess. I'm sure he already has interest because I know his dad was trying his best to get him out there. don't know of what camps etc. he's attended but I'm sure he's drawn the attention he needs.

Cooper will be lucky to go 2-8 with that schedule will brutal considering they never have any depth on their roster.

Yes it does. No matter what anyone wants, thinks, or predicts it all gets worked out on the scoreboard. after the dust settles and the fat lady sings, and of course a comment like " they are who we thought they were. " We can talk about the why's and the why not's. But I truly expect Cooper to overachieve the prophetic opinions of outsiders, myself included.
