April 5, 201511 yr "O mystery great and glorious, That mortal flesh should conquer death, And all our human pains and wounds The Lord should heal by bearing them. Behold how man, though crushed by death, Now does arise and live with Christ, While death, repelled and robbed of might, Dies from its own malignant sting." -St. Ambrose, bishop; 4th Century Finished up at church; about to head to have brunch with my grandparents. All the best to you and yours on this day of days.
April 5, 201511 yr Happy Easter To you and everyone else too. Thank you Jesus for dying for our sins and going through the unbearable torture and beatings you took for a sinner like me. And thank you God for raising Jesus from the grave.
April 5, 201511 yr Today is the celebration of literally the most important event in the history of all existence. Amazing.
April 5, 201511 yr My family and I went to Easter Vigil last night. Prayed the Divine Mercy Chaplet before Mass. Saw two Baptisms and several Confirmations and ones receiving Holy Communion for the first time. Read every single reading. Sang every possible song and heard the long form of every prayer and response. Inhaled enough incense to make my head spin. Two hours and 20 minutes. Talked outside with the priest, seminarian, and other families for another 30 minutes. Missed the game. I heard that UK lost. Jesus Christ won. It was a good night.

This is by far one of the best lines I've ever read on BGP. Love it.
April 6, 201511 yr If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. Probably the single most influential verse that helped seal the deal for me.
