Thompson has nothing to fear IMO. He has shown when he gets to play he can produce, so I don't see any chance of him getting cut. However you are right on the other guys.

I am not sure if you meant first round or not however unless its a hybrid LB/DE type like a Bud Dupree, I see no way the Bengals go just a pure LB in the first round. I think BGP is the only place I have heard people mention the Bengals should go LB in first round.

All that means either Sims is the new run stopper and we are set at DT or if we draft at DT someone in addition to Still will get cut.

Very true. I know a lot of people never want to admit that. However Mike Brown's and the Bengals overall have played this off season very well. They have added depth in a lot of areas that needed it, and now this allows them to keep with what has made their drafts so good lately and that is by taking best player available and not a need. They have been very smart with this off season. Not to mention very smart with how they have set up contracts, especially with so many starters being free agents next year. They should have the money to lock guys up next year still too.

 

I truly believe the Bengals will cut ties with Dalton after this season if the Bengals don't make the playoffs or fail in the first round again. Based off of Marvin's comments they are pretty high on AJ McCarron and with so many guys being free agents next year, I think they will get rid of Dalton and his contract if he doesn't take the next step this year.
