March 24, 201511 yr Author Some quick tidbits from me. - This is awesome, but the timing is awful. 9:30 on a Sunday morning is awful but then again that's when the game is being played - They did pick 2 teams with small markets to fully test this out - I really hope this happens to more games in the future. For me I have to pay an arm and a leg to watch my Jags - I do get to see my Jags once at least this year :lol2:
March 24, 201511 yr Beginning of the end for Sunday Direct Ticket on Direct TV. Like everyone else, the NFL is going to take control of their future by streaming all their own content. Nothing anyone can do about it. However, if I was Direct TV I would pull the NFL back to the table right now and tell them they only get half of what is promised or Direct Ticket is over immediately.

Nail on the head here. It will be interesting in a couple of years where we are headed. I personally would love out of market games being streamed more often. Like I said in my 2nd post I hate never being able to watch my Jags without cable packages.
March 24, 201511 yr Once the NFL is streaming it's own games, can PPV be far behind? I would think they will have the NFL Network online. You subscribe for the season and you get every game on every device. So yes on the PPV, just like everyone else.

I was thinking more of locking out the networks and charging per game, with an option for a subscriber like service like Season Pass, only more expensive.

I agree this is a concern for all the networks. There may not be anymore blackouts but the NFL is taking the gloves off and they are going to maximize their profit from TV/Streaming.

Something else? :lol2: From my understanding you have to download the Yahoo app, which you can do smartphone, tablet, computer, Xbox, or even smart tv. Then apparently when the game goes live there will be a link in the app to watch it on.
