October 26, 201510 yr Author I watched the 2nd-4th quarters and it was an entertaining game. Two not very good teams but entertaining. I thought Bortles looked good. His problems were not him, it was his supporting cast. The last interception was under intense pressure. I was surprised how great the picture was on my laptop. No problems at all with anything. Seemed like less commercial breaks, but the game was 3+ hours, so there probably were the same # of commercials. I have no idea why the Jags didn't have Yeldon in the game for short yardage. He is their best back regardless. Everyone I knew last year made fun of Bortles because how awful his stats looked. He will end up being the best QB from the class and has all the tools to be a great QB, there are just little mistakes he has to limit like the INT. He has 2 really good WR and what looks like to be a solid RB with him and they are all 23 or younger. They will grow together. Problem is there is nothing else on that team right now and the fans are losing patience.

I think Carr is a little better right now,, but I see them both as really stable long term QB's. Carr is getting better players around him overall. The Jags are talent poor. I see the Raiders trending up and the Jags still recovering from a pitiful five years of drafting.

I think Carr is better now that I agree with. I do think Bortles has a slightly higher ceiling because of his mobility. Bengal fans are extremely lucky to have Marvin. Coaching is so-so but have stability and while drafting for more than 5 years is what make a franchise successful. Jags are in year 3 of their re-build and are finally competitive, it just takes more time. They are lucky to have the most important piece of the puzzle though.

In the end it is the Jimmy's and Joe's. You are absolutely correct, without a QB you have no shot. It looks like the Jags have one, with the skill positions really developing. Just don't fire the coach. Stability there is huge. Caldwell is fine. Next work on both lines and they will get there. Bengals have drafted very very well. Just a few misses in their top 3 rounds. Still and Hunt just didn't and haven't panned out.
October 27, 201510 yr Numbers are in Yahoo says 15.2 unique viewers/ Highest rated streaming NFL game ever?
October 27, 201510 yr Grizzly, what exactly do you see as the issue with Jacksonville? I feel like they have a legit NFL QB, they have a solid young back, and they have 2 really good young WRs. Is it the Oline? The defense?
October 27, 201510 yr The 15.2M is misleading since it counts anyone who logged into their Yahoo email. CNN quoted a guy as saying if you look at visitors that actually watched it you had about 2.5M .

October 27, 201510 yr Author Grizzly, what exactly do you see as the issue with Jacksonville? I feel like they have a legit NFL QB, they have a solid young back, and they have 2 really good young WRs. Is it the Oline? The defense? Ill try and keep it short, but if you compare the 2012 Jags roster to current roster there is a total of 5 players left. That is a turnover of over 50 new players to a roster in 3 years. The previous GM should go down as one of the worst GM's of all time. He put the franchise back 10 years. Thankfully Shad Khan (owner) let him go. David Caldwell and Gus Bradley have slowly tried to piece a team together. They're finally at the point where the talent is finally coming, the team is still the youngest roster in the NFL. The defense has been bad no doubt, but there is talent there as well. The offense, well finally the ball can be moved. Offense is slowly becoming very good. Bortles, Yeldon, Allen Robinson, Allen Hurns, and Julius Thomas are all slowly learning to play together. So ultimately it comes down to experience now, I hope. I have been very very critical of Gus Bradley here lately and I question if he is the guy for the job. Problem is that if he is replace I dont want to see Borltes progression start all over again. Side crazy note here, if the Jags can beat Indy in a couple weeks they have a legit shot at the playoffs. It will be ugly and they will be 7-9 or 6-10 making the playoffs but there is a slight chance that it could happen :lol2:
