March 24, 201511 yr Author Well coming in the new season I was worried about Louisville's depth. Never saw anything in Gill and Aaron looked frail from all the video's I watched on him. I did thought Johnson would be solid and had hoped he would see more playing time. He's looked alright in his limited minutes so far in the tournament. Center position was a weak spot everyone was talking about before the season started. I didn't expect much out of Gill. Aaron I had high hopes for, but he just hasn't seen the floor that much. Center was the glaring whole for most, I think.
March 24, 201511 yr Aaron seems like his shot looks different every time. Good handles and moves well just never has seem to get any type of rhythm in his game. Maybe he can have a big game or a big play in the tournament, Got a feeling someone different has to make plays for Louisville to go much farther. It has happen in the past several years somebody out of nowhere steps up.
March 24, 201511 yr I hope NC St. relies on their prior scouting report and doesn't pay any attention to the UCI game. At some point, another team is going to throw a box / diamond and 1 on Rozier and UofL will need to attack it much better than they did against UCI. Should open the floor for Harrell if Q can handle the ball AND Rozier can be content to go stand in the corner and allow the others to play 4 on 4. I am sure Rick will have an answer, but I sure as heck would give it a try if I was playing UofL -- particularly after Rozier's performance on SUN!
March 24, 201511 yr Guess that is right. My similar stat was that Blackshear has never experienced anything less than a Sweet 16. In 4 yrs., he never missed the tourney and never lost the 1st weekend. Other than the UCLA teams and Laettner's group (that did the same thing except Final 4s instead of Sweet 16s!!!), I wonder how many NCAA players have done that (or will do it in the future based on the 1 & done population). It's a very nice acomplishment, but there are quite a few programs that have gone to 4 consecutive sweet sixteens. It doesn't happen all the time, but it's not as rare as you might think. Off the top of my head I know UCLA, Duke, UNC, Kansas, UK, Michigan State, Ohio State, Indiana, Arkansas, and Florida have done it. I'm sure there are several more.
