Got a special surprise this last Friday.

One of the techs was reworking some old Ford radios to become part of our remanufacture exchange stock and found the disc below in one. We got these radios from Cleveland, so we have no idea how long they had them, much less who previously owned them. Anyway, when the tech discovered the disc, he knew exactly who would want it.

 

 

It has radio highlights from 1978 through the 1998 championship, including the Mardi Gras Miracle and the 92 Kentucky/Duke game.

 

There are other things on there, the band sequeing between highlights and such. Of those, the best, to me anyway, is the traditional Senior Day event with Happy Chandler singing "My Old Kentucky Home" and Cawood's final sign-off as voice of the Kentucky Wildcats.

 

Track 6 is kind of messed up, but this is already a prized possession.
