So because you screwed up in your drafting strategy and other people have wisely kept their studs, it's unfair? I kept 2 guys last year (Luck & Lacy) and yet I still ended up with studs like Jeremy Hill and Gronk through the draft.

 

You drafted a guy like Montee Ball over Alfred Morris, DeMarco Murray, DeMaryius Thomas, Julio Jones, etc.

 

You drafted Kaepernick in the 3rd round over guys like Romo and Roethlisberger.

It's not like it isn't doable. But it is very challenging. Trust me — when you work your way into success you'll appreciate it more. Took me four years before I even got to where I could challenge for a playoff spot. Finally made the playoffs last year because I got a lot better at drafting.

Not really. The league is a BGP sponsored league and each year we have a few openings. Around the first of June I will post a thread listing how many new openings we have (currently four), and give seven or eight days for people to sign up for the league.

 

So keep your eyes open and jump in when you get a chance.

Yup. Regouped, made some bold moves to restructure my roster and got back to winning. If you can't get going in this league, chances are you just aren't all that good at FFB... :idunno:

 

Nice comment, played over 25 years and ran the league for about 15 years. Won six times and was pretty good in the BGP money league last year. You must have good keepers. Rocket, surprised you agreed with this after seeing my team in the money league. I also won the Playoff Challenge twice and lost a championship on a 63 yard FG but you guys are right, I know nothing about FFB. This league is slanted and you guys know it!!!!!!!

I think you're in the minority on this one. If it were something the majority felt needed to be changed, then I'm sure the committee and Godot would review it. No question you know what you're doing in FF, but this comes across like whining. Like others have said, this league takes years to build your team and make it competitive. You can't just go through the motions and expect to be competitive and be a playoff contender.

Maybe this: QB, RB, WR, FLEX, FLEX, PK, and DEF? That way you only have to start one RB or WR if you want to.

 

I like that idea with the way things have changed in the NFL over the past few years for RBs.

I actually see sumo's point. I know I said earlier no changes but I would be in favor of:

 

1. Keepers - Change to only keeping one player per position. (this would help the RB pool which is not good)

2. Changing the line up to QB, RB, WR, FLEX, FLEX, PK, and DEF

Took me 11 years to finally get myself a *. Took me 7 or so to even be relevant in the playoffs.

You shouldn't look at it that way. I think we've all won leagues somewhere before. The beauty of this league is you have to approach it completely different from any other league you play in. I've found none more challenging and at the same time rewarding. Other than the cash, I value making the playoffs last year more than any other league I've ever won, from a personal satisfaction standpoint. It forces me to completely rethink my whole approach to the game, and makes me better in other leagues.
