From someone that does not follow the 8th that well, Does Anderson have a legitament chance of getting back to the state tournament? Wasnt they the 8th region rep last season with Makenzie Cann?

First off, yes, Anderson won the 8th last year. They also had McKee (Morehead St) in addition to Cann.

After watching them last night, no they are not the same team as last year for sure, but they are scrappy and don't quit. I would say they have a shot. Why not? After how they snuck through last night, geez, anything can happen. And they beat Shelby once this year proving they can beat them if they ended up meeting them in the final. They are two games away....which is close and very, very far away at the same time.

I am sure right now, all they are worried about is WV.

I can't help but snicker a little. You are probably correct, but I can't help but wonder if you felt the same way yesterday morning.
Knowing Mack personally, I can assure you that he felt that way on Saturday when I told him how the draw turned out. Mack is a GC fan, but not a hater or a homer.

If you are implying I thought Gallatin would take home the trophy you are mistaken.

The 8th isn't as top heavy this year...Neither Simon or Shelby are as good as Anderson (or Simon) have been the last two years. While they are the two prohibitive favorites, it wouldn't be crazy to think the the winner of Anderson/WV could beat one of them in that championship game.

Of course I have been wrong before, such as in the All A final in Bedford.

I got ya...I was only wondering cause the timing of it struck me a little funny that's all. I do hope your wrong though on the Simon/Shelby thing!

Congratulations to WV. I was disappointed in GC and Dosset individually.I thought GC played like they were looking forward to softball practice!

How nice of you to chime in with your un-infinite wisdom after observing 1 game. Calling out 17 year old kids is not cool, especially considering how disappointing your ridiculous observations on BGP are. Put a sock in it!!

It was not an inspired performance, no matter how you want to look at it!

Some folks on here never cease to amaze me.

Please remember story time. The seeds you sow in your garden will be the fruit you get someday.

Best athlete in the region, but the kid didn't make shots last night, it happens. This time next year, you will still be on BGP, trying to figure out why SK and Shelby County ended up in the same bracket, Dossett will be playing softball in the ACC, for FREE.

Honestly never seen Hannah give anything other than her all. Even when athletes are trying their hardest, they can still have an off night. It would be tough to question her heart. She can play on my team any day.

No, you just have a bunch of folks who can't deal with criticism, or look at truth in the mirror when it is there, I expected more from a player that earns?? POY than to go out with a whimper in a win or go home game.

Criticism is not a problem. Calling out minor kids BY NAME in a public forum, I have a problem with that, very classless. But, that's what keyboard jockeys do.

Those 17 year old athletes are getting ready for national news papers. The media hurts sometimes, but they will grow from it.
