Bellarmine Coach Scott Davenport

Featured Replies

I had no idea Reece Gaines was an assistant at BU.

It's been funny seeing him around the neighborhood lately. High on the list of my favorite Cardinals ever.

Think he has aspirations of trying to get a D1 job? One of the best out there, IMO, all levels.

...and, not just a Mid-Major type D1.....but, I see no reason whatsoever why a struggling Big 10, SEC, Big East, AAC school wouldn't try to snatch him up.

He's a little older and he's been around Louisville forever. I wouldn't say no, but I'm guessing he'll be at Bellarmine for the long haul (unless Louisville called).

^^This is true. Forgot about his age and taking into consideration that he is a Louisville/Jefferson County lifer (or so it seems). Good calls.

Greatest Coach in GLVC History?

That might be a stretch.

He has really helped the recruiting IMO and will continue to do so. I think (hope too) that we only get better over the next several years. I believe we're headed down the same path NKU took and will go D1 at some point in the future. Really exciting time at BU.
