Who you got?

Can you find a tougher region than the 7th? Talent- check. Quick teams- check. Tall teams- check. Superior coaching- check. Easy to get to venue....ummm not so much.

I think Trinity's sorted things out a bit from their mid-January offensive struggles. The defense appears to be clicking at the right time as well.

I'll take Trinity but any one of three or four other teams won't make it easy, especially Ballard.

Trinity.

Ballard. Faster better and they move the ball around better than last years team.

Only problem is they have no one to pull Spalding away from rim.

Trinity struggles with quick guards there are a lot in the region. Trinity has great interior defense. Central showed a weakness, spread them out defense is become average with the rest of the 7th, or at least their weak link in this team. Also no point guard for this team might also hurt. That being said they have great shooters and best low post player in state.

But as I stated, Ballard doesn't have anyone to pull Spalding from under the basket thus not spreading the floor like central and exposing their defense.

Spalding negates a lot of the Penetration by those said quick guards.

You don't need a big to pull him out. You can pull him out for a pick and roll to get him away from the basket. Ballard can run pick and roll with Wilson/Douglas, Eaves/Douglas, Perry/Douglas to pull Ray away from the basket all day. I personally would take the Perry/Douglas pick and roll all day with Ray 1 on 1 on the perimeter against JP.

Ballard has depth now also. They're getting points and rebounds from the bigs coming off the bench. Those role players are tough too. Dare I say this is a rare year where Trinity may be a little soft? Theineman provides some toughness- but who else does? Ballard will body-up this year-

Trinity. Central game does not mean nothing. Means Central is there one night, off the next two. They can't be consistent long enough to win a Regional. Trinity as much as I hate to say it wins it going away.

Central has been in every game and been up late in games they just haven't been able to close them out. Trinity 2nd game was up, they tried to stall, and turned ball over a couple of times that turned momentum and they lost by 2. Same thing with 2nd Ballard game. Up 6, tried to stall and turned it over. Lost by 2 or 3. Last night vs manual they was up 4 with 2:30 left, they went to stall and turned it over twice and lost in the end. Wouldn't say they're not playing consistently well. They just lose tight games everytime they get up and stall. May need to try something different. I'm for playing to win, not playing not to lose. That's bit them in the rear those 3 losses since lit.

This Trinity team does nothing "going away". Trinity has to be the fave, but they aren't out of any of these teams leagues. Sometimes they look real average. Spalding is the difference maker. I think 6 teams could win the 7th. That is leaving out Eastern who basically had Ballard beat 2 nights ago. CRAP SHOOT

You echo everything I was thinking. Central can't stall and win but they put the ball on ice too early.

The Bruins stay undefeated against Kentucky High Schools ...at least until the Sweet 16 :)
