Holmes 54 Campbell County 50

I see Kramer in the box score. Last I read, she was out for the season with a broken hand. What is the current situation?

Glad to see she is able to play. Best of luck to both teams in the post-season.

I don't think it was ever said by the parents that she was out for the season. I think people assumed she was out for the season but never asked her or the parents. I would say she has played the last 2 games, my guess is she is back.

You can root for whoever you want to root for however I am not going to tolerate what I saw tonight out of the REFS.

Why don't you let the Holmes staff take care of that? You really think anyone in the KHSSA or the ref administrations are going to do ANYTHING with feedback from a spectator/fan that was at the game. Don't you think there is an official appeal process that probably has to go through the school for anyone with authority to even consider taking a look at it.

Were there any technicals given?? We all know coach Perkins isn't shy and if he felt they "giving the game to CC" I would think he would have had something to say about it. And what better way for refs to cheat and change momentum than assessing technical fouls! We're any given in this game. You would think if it was so obvious, we would have seen technicals and ejections!

I've seen both teams play multiple times so I am not surprised by this score at all. Congrats to Holmes on the win and to Campbell County for hanging with the big dogs. Games like this can only help get you closer to your goal!

UK Fan tell you that??

No, it was one other very opinionated SK fan that was complaining about the refs. One fan...kinda like this!

Think she is playing hurt and finishing the season. Good for her!

Cheating may be a little bit of a strong word, but not by much. Bias, homer or incompetent all fit here. We have seen 10th region officials twice this year , and both times they were horrific. Out of position officials making calls. Incorrect charge/block calls, no calls on blatant fouls. Large free attempt disparity both times.

10th region officials officiate with an agenda!

Your internet is not down! Didn't see you on any other threads! How was the 9th region officiating last night?

This is crazy, 5 pages and there could not have been over a 100 people there. As a Holmes fan I in NO way think Holmes was cheated, Coach Perkins got a bench warning, no techs. As I said earlier, I am very impressed by the young Camels and if I am in the tenth region, I sure don't want to play them, they are also very we'll coached. Holmes missed so many easy break away lay ups. A very good game for both teams heading to district time. Once again best of luck to the Lady Camels, they will be a tuff out. Hoping the Lady Dogs can advance to what will be one heck of a regional.

I am not complaining about just fouls being called or not called. There was a lot more going on in this game besides foul totals, in terms of poor refing. If you don't like what I am saying you are free to not read it.

And there were no missed traveling calls on Holmes. No missed fouls. Nothing that CC fans would say were missed in this game against Holmes??? Sounds like if Holmes wouldn't have missed so many bunnies late and would have locked down on CC shooters, this would matter at all. Regardless of how many extra attempts the refs gave them. The CC players still had to make it happen. You are comical and I have to believe the rest of the Bulldog nation are just shaking their head right now. Don't overshadow the terrific season Holmes is having by these silly rants in a game thread that you won!

Honestly this game came down to CC taking a first half punch and deciding to punch back in the second half! Holmes was careless and uninterested and CC took advantage of the turnovers and missed buckets! At the end of the day this was probably a more meaningful game for the Lady Dawgs in the sense they have not played since last Thursday going in to districts and needed to see competition! It meant a lot to the Lady Camels to validate their success and grow confidence for the post season! This Holmes team has lost 4 halves of basketball this year and the Lady Camels got one of them! Good Luck to both teams

Simple solution. Don't schedule 10th region teams! You've had multiple accounts from multiple programs regarding your region's officiating. Stop the denial and do something about it , or you may find scheduling a bit more challenging in the future!

No, we've had two fans complain about it. If the programs have issues with it, they will deal with it accordingly.

And all those complaints came in a result of two losses and one where someone thought the deficit should have been much greater. No one is putting much stock in those complaints...I can promise you that.

And what about all the other non-10th teams that have played in that region. I don't hear them complaining.

Coach Meneffee I am pretty sure got a warning as well. Campbell County does not quit they play to the very end.

So many good Holmes fans...this thread is a shame! And I agree with this 100% and said that in the prediction thread. Great game for both teams!

Now, CC go win the 10th and Holmes be happy finishing second to Highlands! :lol2::banana:

Obviously kidding here, but can't wait for the region to start!

She has not been starting and has played less minutes than usual, just to get her back into the flow of the game for districts.

I think dg21 hit the nail on the head, Camels got punched in the chops the first half and came out and did the punching in the 2nd half. Camels didn't shoot as well as they have all year but a lot of that was due to Holmes defense. If someone would of told me that we would of had 2 wide open looks at the end of regulation to tie it up with the #2 team in the state, I would gladly take that. I thought the Camels did a great job of not allowing Holmes to turn this game into a track meet. Holding Holmes to 54 points is a job in itself and it gave us a chance to win. 3rd quarter saw the Camels breaking the press and getting some easy baskets and open 3's that had us closing the gap. Holmes coach adjusted and didn't even press the entire 4th quarter and went to a 2-3 zone and the Camels turned up their pressure on defense in the 2nd half to cause some turnovers. All this other nonsense is short changing all the girls from both sides of busting their tails in this game. For me it's real simple, more fouls called on Holmes in 1st half because they were the aggressor and had their full court press going. 2nd half was the complete opposite, more fouls on the Camels because they were the aggressor and pressed. I believe a game like this will benefit both teams going into the districts.
