If I read that article right it said he would probably be coaching somewhere soon, but who in their right mind would take a chance on this guy?

Cutler was right about one thing - Had he been able to win all else would have been forgot.

I always thought BCG was a good x and o coach. He ran a good high post offense with Stevenson and Patterson. In 09, he was always running different sets for Jodie Meeks. He just could not relate and didn't like the spotlight.

I remember hearing someone saying that Billy G got on him for shooting and told him not to shoot the ball one game. Even though Meeks was the only one I would want shooting on that team haha.

He made Eddie a Sutton look like a saint.

 

Uhhh, no x300. I shall not speak of this person you mentioned above as I do not recognize him as an entity that has ever shut an eye in Lexington, KY. Yes, they named a court after him out west, but then again, they get all geeked up over a cattle stampede out there.

 

BCG was in over his head, the other guy was a crook, a thief, a liar and not even a mediocre coach...I have vowed to never speak his name again...dead to me

And Cutler is right. If UK had won under Gillispie, he'd still be there. Everything he did would have been tolerated had he won.

Without a doubt. BCG may be on the extreme side, but a lot of these guys are deplorable, or at least do deplorable things. If you are going to act like that, you got be a good at your trade. And let's not forget that many were signing his praises until things started to spiral in his second year. His tenure got off to a poor start, but people were willing to overlook it with the lack of talent left by Tubby and the "turnaround" to get UK in the tournament his first season. There was optimism until 3-4 weeks in to SEC play.
