Henry Clay 61 Scott County 60

Featured Replies

Final per the Scoreboard.

Isaiah Tisdale hit a 3 with 8 seconds left to give Henry Clay the win. He had 21 points.

Scott County goes into a 2-3 zone with about 3:30 left in the game and it completely changes the momentum and looked to slow Henry Clay.

Big call on a charge/block that goes against Henry Clay on an Isaiah Johnson and 1 and free throw with 1:20 left. That turned a 1 point Scott County lead into a 4 point advantage.

HC converts one of 2 free throws, Scott Co answers with an Isaiah Johnson 2. From there HC's Isaiah Tisdale gets an and 1 with :38 left to cut it to 2.

Scott Co takes a shot that probably has Coach Hicks irate, Henry Clay gets the rebound and takes a timeout with :13 left. Tisdale drills a 3 and the Devils go ahead by 1. Scott Co goes the length of the floor and gets a look but misses it.

These two will meet again in the first round of district play.

Will be very interesting.....

Side note, who was #30 from Scott County? I tuned in late and saw a kid playing whose uniform was different from everyone else's, but didn't catch his name. Watched the game online, so I didn't really have a feed where I'd see them up close or anything. Was he a stater who'd just gotten some blood on his uniform? It'd looked like both his jersey and shorts were different than everyone else's. Roster says Cooper Rob, a freshman, and I think Cooper sounds familiar, but wasn't sure if it was Cooper Watts that I'd heard.

Cooper Robb is the back up PG and is a freshman. He plays quite a bit and keeps getting better and better.

Watts is a center.

I don't know their numbers but I think it debunks some of the myths that Scott Co spends so much money on athletics if one of the varsity players has to wear a different uniform. That is pathetic.

This kid was a guard. Took a three pretty late in the game. He was playing up top in their 2-3 zone, usually on the left hand side of it if you were standing on the baseline and Scott Co's defenders had their back to you. I didn't really catch his name at first, but was just wondering if it was one of those deals where someone had gotten blood on their jersey/shorts and was using a different uniform because of that.

It definitely is a bit surprising to me if a school with as much tradition as Scott County doesn't get the funding for their program to get the whole varsity matching uniform sets.
