February 6, 201511 yr Hahaha makes sense. As other have mentioned there is no way Syracuse does this if they had one of their better teams this year. However since they are struggling, they decide well lets be proactive and try to show like we do care about the rules and punish ourselves. Smart on their part, but not buying it.
February 7, 201511 yr Seems kind of weak to be able to impose a punishment that isn't really much of a punishment at all this year. At the least, they should fine the school a decent amount of money that they would have had to miss out on if they were to actually make the NCAA tournament. It is REAL punishment if you are player on the team...especially a senior. The current players on the team did NOTHING wrong and yet they get punished. Typical NCAA...punish people who had nothing to do with the crime.
February 7, 201511 yr This us a very convenient decision for Syracuse to make this year with the below-their-standard season they're having.
