February 3, 201511 yr I've done this type of work for almost 20 years. It is good work and I really like it but it is hard work. I've had two shoulder surgeries. Not exactly the type of machines we use but the very same principle. This is just one of the types of machines we have in the mixing plant I manage. This looks to be a 18" roll we have some as big as 22" and as small as 16". That is the diameter of the rolls that mix the rubber. February 3, 201511 yr Author It is a very good possibility when you go the the doctor or hospital and get a shot or have to have blood work done the medical staff is using parts made by us. We make around 75 million syringe stoppers each month. That's the black rubber part that pushes the medicine into your body through the needle.

February 5, 201511 yr Author I thought you were a weather man!!!LOL my job is one of the things that lead me to watching the weather the way I do. My company actually installed 4 underground tornado shelters last year. I wouldn't be wearing a tie around that thing. You have to be really careful and watch what you are doing. Several years ago we had a young man who lost 4 fingers in a mill roll similar to these. Also we've had two guys get pulled up in the the stock blender. The rolls that are on top of the machine. They weren't seriously hurt though. One other thing. I would never run the roll with the type of gloves they are wearing.
