JR-Brad Krohman pitched another nice game for Boone. Krohman had a 2 run single in the 4th. Boone broke out a 9 run 4th inning. Soph-Farris was 2-3 with a 2B, 3B and 5 RBIs. SR-Bagby and SR-Dietz both had 2Bs.

Otis started for Dixie.

Souns like Otis got roughed up...is Dixie not very good this year? I knew they were gonna be young this year but the margin of this score really surprises me

From my understanding, they're young and inexperienced. Plus, this was their first game of the season, and Boone's 3rd or 4th.

Very nice win for the Rebels. I know Dixie is very young this season and lost a whole lot from last year. But even with that being said Boone lost alot to and it's great to here them off to a nice start with the new guys stepping up well.

First games are going to be like this...but Otis is supposed to be their ace isn't he? I'd expect a better showing from him but congrats to Boone on the win. Do these teams play at all again later in the season?

Thats bc in the last couple years Maxwell only plays Seniors, so the underclassmen never get any playing time.

Who all is pitching for Dixie this year besides Otis? I know they had a solid sophomore that pitched last year but I cant think of his name right off the top of my head...tall right handed kid i believe

Unless the underclassmen are head and shoulders above the seniors, Max will always play the seniors. He has always been that way. It works for that year's team, but when you fall into a situation like this year, it hurts. There are usually plenty of opportunities for the underclassmen to play, but unfortunately, that hardly ever happens.
