Leaving in the morning ,should be there early enough to stretch out before game....that facility is going to be interesting to play in. Hopefully there will be no problems getting into the game. That's a long trip to find out it's sold out

Actually with the seats they added in the end zone a couple of years ago the seating capacity is 650 they have had a few more than that in there. The fans are right on top of you it is a cozy place to play. The gym was built in the mid 60's it is definitely a trip back in time. This is the same gym that cordia played the old Carr creek and hindman teams in years ago.

I wasn't aware they had added seating to the stage area. That has helped, no doubt.

I wonder if this game will still be played with the weather being much worse west of the mountains. Forecast is for east Kentucky to get some snow overnight and into the morning hours, so it's going to get slippery here too before it's finished by noon tomorrow.

Anyone know If Ballard is staying the night before or the night of to offset that drive some? Isn't that about 4 hours by bus?

ttt

Is Ballard there or was they leaving this morning?

On the KHSAA website it has this game scheduled to be played at 3:00 PM.

There's not as much snow in eastern Kentucky as there is in the central and western parts of the state. Maybe one inch in my front yard this morning, but the roads are clear. With Knott County being located about 75 miles southeast of where I live in Owsley I would assume they may have less snow there.

But Ballard may have a different situation with snow and travel in Jefferson and neighboring counties.

Are you going to this game since Joe B. Hall has been cancelled? Hoping someone on here can tell us how both teams looked, etc.

650 as in standing room only right?

I'm sure Lion Pride knows more about Cordia's gym than me but if they can get 650 fans in there it would be packed tighter than sardines in a can. Their bleachers don't look like they could seat maybe 150 to 200. That would mean the end zone stage area he mentioned would have to seat 450. Not saying it couldn't be done but the spectators sure wouldn't have any elbow room. Of course I'm sure they use the areas around the court for standing room for viewing.

They could possibly reach that number but it would be as tight a fit as could be imagined.

That gym seems almost identical to St.Patrick's gym in Maysville, maybe even bigger.

I'm not going to the game even if they still have it. I would like to see it but that's too far to drive (70 miles) to possibly not be able to get in to see it.

They've got a nice gym. I always enjoyed going to games there. It has 5 rows on one side of the floor and less than that on the other side. The pic that Patman posted shows the side that holds the most people.

They sure don't make them like they used to. Talk about nostalgia.
