January 17, 201511 yr PEMBERTON TOWNSHIP — A newborn baby died after her mother allegedly doused her with a flammable liquid and set her on fire in the middle of Simontown Road on Friday night, police and the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office said. Police charged Hyphernkemberly Dorvilier, 22, of Rutgers Avenue in Pemberton Township, with murder. Superior Court Judge Jeanne T. Covert set bail at $500,000. Neighbor Dave Joseph, 45, said he witnessed the incident, which occurred shortly before 11 p.m. at the unit block of the rural road. A young woman had gotten out of her car and lit something on fire in the middle of the road, he said. Joseph said the woman told him she was burning dog waste. The baby girl was flown to St. Christopher's Children's Hospital in Philadelphia at around 11:15 p.m. and died around two hour later. The Burlington County medical examiner will perform an autopsy on the baby, authorities said. January 18, 201511 yr I can't think of a punishment harsh enough for her. My God have mercy on her soul.
January 18, 201511 yr IMO, one of two things makes a person do something like this: being under the influence of some kind of drugs that lead to crazy paranoia or having an extremely bad episode of a severe (possibly untreated) mental illness that's only been exacerbated by Post-Partum Depression or a combination of that and the first thing I mentioned.
January 18, 201511 yr Wow her name was weird. Well anyway she should be put to death very soon, as in by the end of the week.
January 21, 201511 yr Could be a postpartum psychosis. Could also be that she had a mental illness and went off her meds because of her pregnancy. Regardless, it is incredibly sad that no one around her (and maybe there was no one around her) that didn't realize she was dangerous.
